3394250 - Changing members of variables in prompt not working in Bookmarks

• You use BW live connection.
• You have an Analytic Application or a Unified Story, in which you define a Bookmark for saving the selections of your Prompt.
• After you open the Bookmark and try to change a member of a variable in the prompt, the Application/Story still sets to the default member of the saved Bookmark.

SAP Analytics Cloud 1.0

1. You set some members of the variables in the prompt of an Analytic Application or a Story.
2. You create a Bookmark for the current selection((for example, 2023.Feb as the period) .
3. Close the Application/Story and re-open it by selecting the Bookmark.
4. In the Prompt, you change a member for a variable(for example, 2023.Sep as the period) and click "Set".
5. The Application/Story opens with the original Bookmarked member 2023.Feb instead of 2023.Sep.

This is by design.

According to the Online help for this feature

Bookmark Analytic Applications | SAP Help Portal

When viewing an analytic application, you may want to come back to a specific view of the data without having to spend time resetting all the widget states in the application. In this case, you can save the current state as a bookmark by selecting the save button on the application

"

So the purpose of Bookmark to save the current State. It is not supposed to change members from Bookmark.

Please don't change members by Bookmark.
