3394254 - [Onboarding] Can we map custom task fields to the Onboarding Forms for E-Signature?

We need to know how can we map the fields from the custom task going to a custom form. Kindly help us understand if this is possible since 2H 2023 Release supports custom tasks for onboarding and offboarding process.

• A new introduction in the 2H 2023 Release is the inclusion of custom tasks for onboarding and offboarding process. 
• With this, we can map the field values captured in these custom tasks to the Signature Forms which would be displayed to the candidate during the Document Flow Step
• The mapping for this will be done via direct mapping in Maintain Onboarding or Offboarding Document Template
• Lets see an example below : 
  
  I have created a custom object named "Onboarding Feedback Custom Task" which is responsible to create the custom task and this custom object also holds the fields to be displayed within the custom task
  
  
• In the above custom mdf object, I have created 3 fields (highlighted) named Interview Date, Question 1 (Label: How was the Interview Process) and Interviewer Name.
• In order to map these fields within the Document Template, we will have to use direct mapping in Maintain Onboarding or Offboarding Document Template. 
  Base Object will be the custom object which is used to create the custom task (the one which includes the fields associated with the custom task)
  

NOTE:

1. If you are mapping the custom task fields within the document template, it is very important to note that the custom task must be completed before the document is generated and e-signature activity is assigned to the candidate.
2. Failure to complete the custom task will result in blank values within the document assigned to the candidate for e-signature.
3. Once the document is generated and e-signature step is assigned, you will be forced to restart the onboarding process. Post restart, you will have to complete the custom task before e-signature activity is assigned to the candidate in order to view the field values within the generate document for e-signature activity.
