3394507 - Payment Information Workflow Rule not working for Onboarding - Onboarding

A workflow rule to payment information is not working to Onboarding Personal Data Collection.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Enable a workflow rule for onboarding.
2. Login as candidate, enter payment information and click submit button.
3. Application error occurred.

In Onboarding, the Personal Data Collection page does not support Employee Central workflows or downstream integrations with Employee Central.

If there is a rule configured on this object that triggers a workflow when an external user attempts to add payment-related information, that rule will need to be removed or bypassed to avoid issues.

Solution 1 - Review the workflow rule

1. Go to Manage Business Configuration > Compensation Information> Check whether there is a workflow rule > Click on the 'Details' button > Change 'Onboarding' from 'Yes' to 'No' > save; 
2. Go to Configure Object Definitions > select Object Definition > select Payment Information > Scroll down to the 'Save Rule' section > Remove the workflow rule.

Solution 2 - Create a business rule to skip the workflow rule in onboarding.
