3394510 - 2H 2023: Invalid SFAPI session! errors in Talent Addon

You are experiencing Invalid SFAPI session! errors in Talent Addon scenarios and wish to know the root cause.

SAP SuccessFactors Talent Addon Solution

1. Run relevant Talent Addon report (e.g. RH_SFI_SYNCH_COMP_DATA, RH_SFI_TRIGGER_JOB_REQUISITION, RH_SFI_IMPORT_RECRUITING_DATA)
2. API error will appear, visible in API reporting or middleware (CPI, PI/PO)

Known issue

The root cause was the fact that cookies were masked by SFAPI and sent back to the customer (since the masked cookies were not decoded and sent back, our APIGEE servers were unable to decode and route the call correctly, which was causing the issue)

To resolve the issue our Engineering team unmasked the hostname for the sharedflow (our internal reference SFRE-29762) and deployed UnMaskHostName sharedflow gradually in all Preview and Sales demo environments.

As a following step, the Engineering team implemented the changes and requested the API Ops team to validate from their end.
Subsequently our API Operations team informed that the shared flow version : UnMaskHostName were updated to 2023.4 for all preview/SD environments and confirmed that the errors were also reduced. 

Environments are stable and under close monitoring.
