3395894 - Vacation Times are not posted against the Time Account Balance

Symptom

You applied for Leave through New Leave request (half day or full day). You also observed that the Leave is approved but there is no deduction in the respective Time Account assigned to the Employee.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Time Administration work center
  2. Select the Employees view
  3. Search for the employee and select the employee
  4. Select Edit button
  5. Go to the Employee Times tab
  6. Highlight the vacation period and go to the Account Posting tab. No Postings is displayed
  7. Go to the Time Account Balances tab, for the Time Account XYZ, the Balance and Taken remain unchanged

Cause

Could be technical inconsistency. 

Resolution

Follow the below steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Go to the Time Administration work center
  2. Select the Employees view
  3. Search for the employee and select the employee
  4. Select Edit button
  5. Go to Time Profile Tab
  6. Select Work Schedule Under Details.
  7. Remove the Time Model 'ABC' under Predefine Work Schedule  which is already assigned 
  8. Select Save.
  9. Assign the same Time Model 'ABC' under Predefine Work Schedule and Save.
