3395920 - Buttons in Select Data Source dialog to switch from list view to tree view are not working

In SAP Analysis for Office Select Data Source dialog, the button to switch from tree view and list view is not working.

E.g. after clicking on the tree view button the connections continue to be displayed in the list view.

1. Open SAP Analysis for Office
2. In Analysis tab, click on Insert Data Source
3. Skip logon to BIP (if it appears)
4. In Select Data Source dialog, click on the buttons on the top right corner to switch from system view and tree view
5. Confirm the buttons do not work and it is not possible to switch the view

In Ao_app.config file (located in %programdata%\SAP\Cof) the configuration level for setting OpenDSTreeView is set to PerMachine.

According to KBA 2083067 if Administrator change the configuration level for one setting to PerMachine, this setting can no longer be changed by a user locally.

Therefore AO will not allow the user to change the view, and it will behave according to the value of setting OpenDSTreeView:

• The default value is false. This means that the data sources are displayed in the list view.
• If change to true, then the data sources will be displayed in the tree view.

Open Ao_app.config file (%programdata%\SAP\Cof) as administrator, change the configuration level to UserRoaming and save it.

This way the switch view buttons will be enabled for users.
