3396088 - Importing job failed to run after user deactivated in SAP Analysis Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

Scheduling jobs in models failed to run after creation user deactivated in SAP Analysis Cloud, error is showing:

  • This import job didn't run as scheduled because the user who created the schedule is deactivated. To import data, you can refresh the job manually, or create a new schedule.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to SAC and create a new model > select From a Data Source.
  2. After model created, navigate to Data Management > select the Import Job.
  3. Click Schedule Settings, set Frequency to Repeating.
  4. Logon to SAC with another admin user, deactivate the user that created the schedule settings.
  5. Find the job failed to run due to error:
    This import job didn't run as scheduled because the user who created the schedule is deactivated. To import data, you can refresh the job manually, or create a new schedule.

Cause

This is the expected behavior.

Resolution

There are 3 workarounds for this issue:

  • Active the user that created the schedule settings.
  • Manual refresh the job via other users.
  • Recreate the schedule settings via other users(no need to create new jobs).
