3396549 - Internal Remote Function Call (RFC) triggers logon screen

Symptom

  • Logon screen appears when switching between application servers in SM51 transaction;
  • Logon screen appears when calling an internal RFC destination (for example: NONE); 
  • The following is logged in dev_w* process:
    • *** ERROR => RFC SignOn error number 1 [absignon.c   4058]
      {root-id=00000000000000000000000000000000}_{conn-id=00000000000000000000000000000000}_0
      *** ERROR => RFC SignOn error Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon) [absignon.c   4059]
      *** ERROR => RFC SignOn error  client <client number>   user<userId>         [absignon.c   4060]
      *** ERROR => RFC SignOn error login method 0 slogin   [absignon.c   4061]
      *** ERROR => RFC SignOn error destination <destination name> [absignon.c   4063]
      *** ERROR => RFC SignOn error is alias user 0 [absignon.c   4064]
