3396552 - Datasphere connection error with SAP SuccessFactors: "[LGN0008]Company XXX not found. Make sure you have entered the correct company ID. "

Symptom

When validating SuccessFactors connection the below error appears:

"Connection "XXX" couldn’t be established. - Data flows can't be used because of errors in the connection. - Replication flows are not supported. - Remote tables can't be used because of errors in the connection.

Data Flows: Cause: Invalid odata connection! Getting odata metadata failed because of <HTTP/1.1 401 > Get $metadata response: [LGN0008]Company XXX not found. Make sure you have entered the correct company ID. Please note that the company ID is case sensitive. [....]

Remote Tables: Unable to connect remote source: connection to api41.sapsf.com:443 returned status 401, Code: 5921, SQL State: HY000"

Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to the 'Connections' tab
2. Choose Success Factor's connection
3. Click 'Validate' and error message will pop up

Resolution

Verify if your SF company ID XXX is from the correct environment, the URL should be entendered according to 2215682 - SuccessFactors API URLs and external IPs
