3396844 - Simulation of object "PM - Measuring point" fails - error message CNV_PE_POST404

Symptom

You are migration your data via migration approach "Migrate Data Directly from SAP System".
During simulation / migration of object PM - Measuring point, error message CNV_PE_POST404 is raised:

"Simulation failed; see long text"

After opening the long text of the error message, you notice that callin a function module ended with sy-subrc = 99.

At the same time, if you try to perform the simulation from the backend system by using transaction LTMOM, you notice that a dialog screen (Create Measuring Point: General Data) pops up unexpectedly:
