3397410 - Redemption Tile Permission - Rewards & Recognition

As part of the b2311 release we now have the Redemption Tile enabled for everyone. However some employees can see it and some cannot.

1. Go to Compensation tab
2. Go to Rewarding section
3. Redemption tile is available:
    
4. Then logged in as another user, you log into the same page and no redemption tile is available:
    
5. And some users can see the tile, but it has no data in it:
    

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental. 

That happens because the tile will only show for those who have points to be redeemed and have the right permissions.

As best practice all employees should have Spot Award User Balance View Permission. With that permission you will only see the tile if you have points to be redeemed. In case your business is not using points programs than the employees won't have the tile available, since there are no points to be redeemed. Without the permission you will see the tile with no data. 

In summary the tile will only be visible in one of those scenarios:

1. You don't have the permission Spot Award User Balance View 
2. You have the Spot Award User Balance View Permission permission and have points to redeem.

Note: Make sure that the currency settings page under Manage Award Programme Settings is configured as this is now required.
