Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the New Business work center.
- Select the Opportunity List view.
- Open Opportunity XYZ (XYZ represents the Opportunity ID).
- Navigate to the General tab.
- Deactivate the Relevant For Forecast Indicator.
- Save your changes.
- The next day open the Opportunity XYZ again.

- Navigate to the Changes tab.
You can see that the Indicator Relevant for Forecast was changed from Yes to No by your user the previous day.
It was then changed back from No to Yes during the night by the Technical User (SAP_SYSTEM).
Cause
You have activated the scoping element Opportunity relevant for forecast in your solution scope.
You can check find the scoping question as follows:
- Go to the Business Configuration work center.
- Select the Implementation Projects view.
- Select your implementation project and click on Edit Project Scope.
- Navigate to the Questions step.
- Extend the path: Sales -> New Business and select Opportunities
The scoping question “Do you always classify opportunity as relevant for forecast?” is active.
Resolution
This is the expected system behaviour.
If you activate the scoping question “Do you always classify opportunity as relevant for forecast?” the system will automatically set the indicator Relevant for Forecast to Yes. If this is changed to No an automated background job that runs during the night will change this to Yes.
