3398504 - Pie chart disappears when hierarchy is activated for color dimension in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• [ERROR] TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'd').
• Issue with a Pie chart, where Colors are determined by a hierarchy dimension in the story in SAC.
• Issue seems related to a specific existing story.
• When no hierarchy is enabled (flat presentation) for this dimension, the display works fine.
• When custom hierarchy is set for the dimension, the Pie chart is no longer displayed.
• The table works fine, also chart type Bar/Stacked Bar.
• When new Optimized Design Experience (ODE)/Unified story is created, the Pie chart with the dimension where custom hierarchy is set => issue not reproducible.

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2023.16.16

1. Login to SAC.
2. Go to the story and open it in Edit mode.
3. Select the Pie chart.
4. Open Builder / Right side panel.
5. Go to Color where the hierarchy dimension is selected.
6. When Flat presentation is selected for this dimension, the color display works fine.
7. When any hierarchy is selected for the dimension, the Pie chart is no longer displayed.
