3398835 - After release, Custom CC role workflow email templates return blank value - CS2H2023

Symptom

In custom document generation for CC role workflow notification, the directly mapped HRIS fields values return blank for new hire workflow when centralized service is enabled: "Enable Centralized Services to Add New Employee, Add New Employee for Fixed Term and Rehire Inactive Employee".

Note: The issue is seen only for CC role custom notification with no approvers/skipped approver for new hire workflow.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Add New Employee

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Add New Employee.
  2. Fill all the required details.
  3. Click Submit.
  4. Workflow triggered with No Approvers > custom CC email notification sent.
  5. Result: Directly mapped fields are Blank in the CC role notification.

Resolution

  • The issue is planned to be patched via b2311p7 patch which is tentatively scheduled for 4th Dec 2023 in Preview and 7th Dec 2023 in Production environment.
  • The KBA will be updated once the fix date is confirmed.
  • Workaround: Disable "Enable Centralized Services to Add New Employee, Add New Employee for Fixed Term, and Rehire Inactive Employee" from Company System and Logo Settings. Please don't forget to re-enable the Centralized Services switches after the issue is fixed so that you can continue to enjoy the benefits of Centralized Services.
