  1. How do the upgrade cycle look like in SAP?

    Half-yearly upgrades are performed as follows:

    ▪ T (test) systems are upgraded first

    ▪ Starter (S) and other types of systems (e.g. Sandbox, Evaluation) are upgraded 1 week later

    ▪ D (development) and P (production) systems are upgraded 3 weeks after T system upgrade

    Each customer is notified via mail, 6 weeks prior to (T) system upgrade.

  2. How do I prepare for the upgrade/ What things I need to keep in mind before the upgrade schedule?

  4. How does Single sign-on work?

    SAP Cloud Identity is central identity provider (IDP) for user authentication. Two possibilities exist:

    • Users exist in SAP Cloud Identity. Authentication is made for SAP S/4HANA system access.

    • Users exist in a customer chosen IDP. SAP Cloud Identity acts as proxy, redirects to customer IDP for user authentication.
