3398930 - In I9 Section 2, select Government ID card as List B documents and Expiration date field is mandatory, which is conflicting with 2H 2023 release

Symptom

In What's New Viewer, it states below.

The Expiration Date field is no longer a mandatory field for some of the List B Documents used in Section 2 of the U.S. Form I-9.

This change applies to the following List B Documents:
  • Individuals under age 18
  • Special Placement
  • Government ID card
  • School ID card
  • Voters Registration card
  • U.S. Military ID card
  • U.S. Military Draft Record
  • U.S. Military Dependent ID card
  • Native American Tribal Document
  • School record
  • School report card
  • Clinic record
  • Doctor record
  • Hospital record
  • Daycare record
  • Nursery school record
  • Receipts for replacement any of the documents listed above

If select Government ID card as List B documents and Expiration date field is mandatory.

The list on What's New viewer is incorrect.

Correct List B Documents:

  • Voters Registration card
  • School ID card
  • School record
  • School report card
  • Clinic record
  • Doctor record
  • Hospital record
  • Daycare record
  • Nursery school record
  • Receipts for replacement any of the documents listed above

Responsible team is working on correcting What's New viewer.

Will target this for the next patch on Dec 8.
