Symptom
When users try to filter by a certain account code/name on dashboard based on blended model but filter from first model does not show the data from second model.
Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud
- Data source: SQL Database
- Connection: Import
Reproducing the Issue
1. Login to Tenant
2. Created two model based on blending
3. Open the story and click on edit.
4. click on Edit Prompt -> click on Link Variables
5. Select the model.
6. Select the variables and link the dimension.
Note: Only prompt values that exist in both models are available.
7. Select on set.
8. Add story filter.
9. Choose the dimension input control.
Cause
Behavior by design
Resolution
- When you select the first model, the filter cannot be used if the common value is not available in both models, and vice versa.
