3399367 - Cannot upload item with dates using program RPM_DX_ITEM

Symptom

You wish to create or update a Portfolio Item using program / transaction RPM_DX_ITEM, specifying dates for the item (e.g. PLANNED_START and PLANNED_FINISH).

This leads to either of the following:

  1. The upload fails with error message "Invalid dates for ...." (RPM_UTILITIES092).
  2. The upload leads to a dump MESSAGE_TYPE_UNKNOWN in ABAP Program CL_RPM_UPLOAD_UTILITY=========CP

The same issue can be encountered in the other RPM_DX* upload programs in Portfolio Management.
