3399451 - IRT Completed with warnings: Tenant copy in Blob Storage Service (BSS) has the following status: Failed

Symptom

After completing an instance refresh, one of the warnings below is shown:

Tenant copy in Blob Storage Service (BSS) has the following status: Failed. This activity is to copy talent blob in BSS from a source instance to a target instance.
The Goal tenant copy in Blob Storage Service (BSS) has the following status: Failed. This activity is to copy the Talent Goal Blob in BSS from a source instance to a target instance. Please contact Product Support if the status is “Failed”.
The tenant copy in Blob Storage Service (BSS) has the following status: Failed. This activity is to copy the compensation blob in BSS from a source instance to a target instance.

This error is specific to performance management only.

Reproducing the Issue

Complete an instance refresh in IRT - refer to Using the Instance Refresh Tool - Instance Refresh Overview
Navigate to Company Settings > Instance Refresh
Select Full Copy (Instance Refresh) > Next
Locate refresh job which shows Completed with Warnings
Under the Actions column, select the ellipses > Download Log
Error message is present

NOTE: A manual refresh scheduled with Product Support can also generate such warnings. In this scenario, the Support Engineer will inform the customer, as there is no way to access manual Refresh information throughout the instance.

Cause

The refresh fails to copy related performance, compensation or goals form audits or soft-deleted data from the source instance to the target instance

Resolution

To fix the issue, a job type "Document Management Service Tenant Copy Job" has to be run in Provisioning.

As a customer, you do not have access to Provisioning. Please engage a Certified Partner or SuccessFactors Product Support to assist.

If you do not have an implementation partner, create a case for SuccessFactors Product Support under LOD-SF-PLT-IRT component with the following:

Target Company ID (where to apply changes):
Source Company Environment type: production or preview
Source Company Datacenter (URL of your login screen):
Source Company ID:
Authorization for Product Support to run a Document Management Service Tenant Copy Job.

NOTE for SAP Partners/Product Support - Running the Job in Provisioning:

In the refresh target instance , please follow the below steps:

Navigate to company ID
Select Manage Scheduled Jobs
Select Create New Job
Populate the following:
- Job Type: Document Management Service Tenant Copy Job
- Job Parameters:
  - Domain for jenkins job.:
    - If the failure is related to talent blob, insert the value "tfm"
    - If the failure is related to Talent Goal Blob, insert the value "tgm"
    - If the failure is related to compensation blob, insert the value "cmp"
  - Source environment for jenkins job: enter prod or prev Please notice the job values are case sensitive - Make sure you use lowercase
  - Source datacenter for jenkins job.: [datacenter in format dc##] Please notice the job values are case sensitive - Make sure you use lowercase
  - Source company id for jenkins job.: [company ID]
Populate all other applicable details
Select Create Job
Locate the job and under the Actions column, select the Select dropdown > Run It Now
