3399509 - MRP: Discontinuation function usage restrictions.

Symptom

It is observed MRP run failed to transfer shortages from the discontinued part to follow-up material in below cases:

  • No discontinuation at storage location or subcontracting MRP area level.
  • No discontinuation for order reservation, sales order, planned independent requirement.
  • No discontinuation for subcontracting dependent requirement.
  • No discontinuation in reorder point planning scenario even if stock quantity is lower than reorder point.
  • No discontinuation happens when using t-code MD11 or MF50.
