3399930 - Error in VAT Return Run: Work package ID XYZ system error; report an incident

You are trying to create a VAT Return Run and in the final of the process you are getting the following error message 'Work package ID XYZ system error; report an incident'.

XYZ represents the code of the package ID.

1. Go to Tax Management work center.
2. Go to VAT Return Runs subview. 
3. Search for the Run ID DEF (DEF represents the run ID).
4. Click in the Application log ID ABC (ABC represents the application log ID).
5. You will see the error message:

'Work package ID XYZ system error; report an incident'.

Dump is happening due to large amount of selected data being retrieved from the Tax Register Item node.

The VAT had an error due to lack of memory.

There are some ways in which the issue can be handled:

• Reduce the data selection of the VAT Return run. You can inform a smaller period in the From/To dates;

Or,

• Use Aggregation Run

You can use the aggregation run functionality that creates multiple returns for the same run, one after the other to avoid huge data in a single return. For more information refer to the Blog Aggregation Tax Returns in SAP Business ByDesign
