3400485 - Unable to access monitoring tables with granular permissions enabled

Symptom

  • Granular permissions are enabled
  • A user has been granted select permissions to a monitoring table
  • The user does not have mon_role enabled
  • User gets Msg 10353 when trying to select from a monitoring table
    • Msg 10353, Level 14, State 26:
      Server 'SERVER_NAME', Line 5:
      You must have any of the following role(s) to execute this command/procedure: 'mon_role' . Please contact a user with the appropriate role for help.
      Command has been aborted.
