Symptom
You are working on the Web Service Message Monitor, and notice that the system is not synchronizing as expected. The "Synced At" time displays a past date and time.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Application and User Management work center.
- Enter the Web Service Message Monitor view.
- The description text on the top of the screen contains the last date and time the synchronization was performed.
Here you see that the date and time are from a past timeframe.
Cause
The synchronization in the Web Service Message Monitor happens automatically every 15 minutes. However this automatic synchronization may fail in case there are too many messages in error which need to be processed.
This threshold can vary depending on the service interface and the task/document that needs to be processed.
Resolution
In order to resume the automatic synchronization, please check the Erroneous messages and process the same in order to reduce the amount of pending messages.
