Error message "BSTAT U doc. found: Undo FC val." when execute Activate Open Item Management for G/L Accounts.

SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition

Documents with status U are only posted to the general ledger and and cannot enable open item management for that account.

To activate open item management, all documents with Document Status U must be reversed. 

Follow the steps to find documents that mention the technical fieldname BSTAT.

1. The affected field is "Journal Entry Category".
2. This field is available in the Fiori app "Display Line Items in General Ledger".
3. You can use this field to filter with value = U.

All these postings would need to be reversed.

If there are a greater number of documents with "Journal Entry Category = U" , it is recommended to create a new G/L Account with OIM activated.
