3401533 - Record effective date in Compensation does not value set by Cross-Entity rules - CS2H2023

After 2H 2023, when doing a MSS action (Take Action -> Change Job Information) system is unable to set Compensation Information "Event Date" based on the values set by cross-entity, system always follows the original Event Date set initially in MSS action in Job Information.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a cross entity rule in job information that sets compensation information effective of change for the change in a different date.
  2. Go to Employee profile
  3. Click Take Action -> Change Job Information and Compensation information
  4. Select effective date
  5. Save the transaction

Result: Job Information will follow new effective date set by rule but compensation information portlet follows the effective set by user on step 4.

Engineering team is investigating this behavior.

This KBA will be updated in case there is a behavior change confirmed by engineering team or a permanent fix.
