3401631 - Approval process error: "This request has just been approved by someone else"

Symptom

  • Managers receiving already approved error for new standard 1st level approvals preventing class registrations: This request has just been approved by someone else. Refresh the page for an updated list of approvals. 
  • Admins cannot manually approve on behalf of user either.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Learning Administration >
  2. Proxy as user >
  3. Attempt to register for a class >
  4. Successful message appears, but indicates class seats may be full > 
  5. Close proxy session and proxy as user's manager >
  6. Go to "Approvals" page >
  7. Attempt to approve and receive error.

Cause

User email is missing under Global Application Settings. This is a prerequisite to have user email value set for approvals.

Resolution

Provide value for Application Notification User Email following below steps:

  1. Access Learning Administration >
  2. System Administration >
  3. Configuration >
  4. Global Application Settings >
  5. Mail tab >
  6. Set value for: Application Notification User Email >
  7. Apply Changes.
