3401660 - How to download, upload, delete, enable and disable custom language translations in the new manage language UI?

Symptom

  • How to download default labels?
  • How to create custom labels?
  • How to upload custom translation?
  • How to delete custom translation?
  • How to enable and disable custom language translations?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Resolution

Steps:

  1. Go to Manage Languages
  2. Select the Language in which you want to create a custom translation by clicking the Action button > Create Custom Translation
  3. Or select the Language in which you want to download the default labels:
    1. Under 'Customer Translation' column click on the desired language
    2. 'Translation Revision' page will open
    3. On the right corner you will see a arrow pointing down
      1. Click on it, and you will be able to download the customized labels

 Note:

  • Download Default Labels refers to the systems default labels.
  • Create Custom Translation refers to any labels that you want to be customize from the Default Labels.

How to create “Custom Translation"?

  1. Select your preferred language by click the Action button.
  2. Select Create Custom Translation, as shown above
  3. Set a name for your custom translation
  4. Click on the custom created language under 'Customer Translation' column
  5. 'Translation Revision' page will open. You can upload the custom translation that you have created by clicking on the Arrow Up button.


  6. Select the file to upload
  7. You will receive a message and click the OK button.

How to Disable/Enable Custom Translations?

  1. If you already have an existing Custom Translation, just go to Action and select Disable Custom Translation


  2. A Pop-up message notification will show to change the status, click OK or Cancel.


  3. To Enable it back, click on Action and click on Enable Custom Translation


  4. A Pop-up message notification will show to change the status, click OK or Cancel.


How to delete Custom Translations?

  1. If you already have an existing Custom Translation, just go to Action and select Delete Custom Translation


  2. Pop-up message notification will show to if you want to permanently delete it, click OK or Cancel.
