3402053 - No reference can be seen during sales order XML creation - S/4HANA Cloud

When creating Sales Order with reference to Contract, no reference data can be seen in standard Sales Order print XML.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Create Sales Order with reference to Contract
2. See the print of Sales, and check the XML of print
3. Contract number cannot be see in the Sales Order print XML

This is a standard system behaviour, the reference document and reference document item are not populated with the standard OData service.

Data source extension for ‘Sales: Sales Order Confirmation Form’ can be used to populate the reference document field (it will include the contract number).

Please note, that the data source extension fields will not contain value in preview mode and only contain value in the final document.
