Symptom
The issue will happen only if you have a business rule associated to the field enrolleeOptions in object BenefitInsurancePlanEnrollmentDetails to default Coverage value. Since Coverage value is not updated, Contribution amounts are not calculated and on Enrolling you'll get the following error message:
The employee and employer contributions in the import file do not match the rates in the rate chart. Please update the contributions. When left blank, the system will default the values.

Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
- Global Benefits
- Insurance Plans
- Enrollment
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to an eligible employee
- Go to Benefits Overview > Go to Benefits
- In the Insurance section, Enroll Now for an insurance
- Select Enrolling for value "Employee only". Accordingly Coverageis defaulted by the business rule. As per the Coverage, Employee and Employer Contribution amounts are auto calculated
- Update the Enrolling for field to Employee + 1
- The Coverage is again reset by the business rule. Accordingly Contribution amounts are updated
- If we reselect the previous Enrolling for value "Employee", the Coverage value is not defaulted. Hence, contributions are not calculated/updated
- If we manually select the Coverage, the contribution amounts are updated.
Cause
It's a defect in 2H 2023 release.
Resolution
Engineering Team are planning to fix the issue via patch 2311p7 (04-Dec-23 Preview and 07-Dec-23 Production), however it's not yet confirmed. This KBA will be updated once we have more details about the fix dates.
