3402419 - Label of the field is different in different logon language.

Symptom

Label of the field is not consistent across different logon languages.

Environment

  • SAP Service Cloud Version 2
  • SAP Sales Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Click on User Icon with Logon language as English
  2. Go to the Navigation Menu
  3. Select All Settings.
  4. Go to Extensibility > Extensibility Administration.
  5. Select a Business Entity .
  6. Looks for custom fields created for that Entity.
  7. Maintain the label of custom field in English logon.
  8. Now login in other language example Dutch.
  9. Update  the label of  same custom field in Dutch logon.
  10. Login back in English, the label is not updated.

Resolution

This  is the right system behavior.

The label  will not automatically update as the label in English  logon and the Dutch logon (in different languages)  are intended to be kept separate, hence label changes are always language specific.
