3402516 - BAS/WebIDE deployment to SAP S/4HANA Cloud System fails with error 500 (using OAuth2SAMLBearerAssertion Authentication)

Symptom

  • A Destination with authentication type OAuth2SAMLBearerAssertion is used
  • When attempting to deploy an application from either the WebIDE or Business Application Studio there is an error similar to the below:

    HTTP Status 500     - An internal application error occurred.
    Request: <xxxxx>. The system is not reachable. Contact your system admin.
