3402698 - The Undo/Redo buttons are disabled after changing values in the cells

Symptom

The Undo/Redo buttons are disabled after changing values in the cells that are used in a SAP.SETDATA function as reference (or any other function).

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office

Reproducing the Issue

Cause

This is not a bug in the product. It is the expected behavior.

Any Excel cell change triggered by the Excel API does clear the Undo stack. Refer to section Application undo stack in Microsoft's page.

SAP can not influence since this is a Microsoft's behavior.

Resolution

This behavior can not be changed as explained above. As a workaround, the users can manually change or delete the values in the cells instead of using the Undo/Redo functionalities.
