3402702 - Error "G/L acc. ABC (chart of acc. DEF) is assigned to more than one account group" Is Raised When Assigning a Budget Category

When trying to add G/L Account ABC to Budget Category XYZ, error message is raised: "G/L acc. ABC (chart of acc. DEF) is assigned to more than one account group"
(ABC, DEF and XYZ represents G/L Account number, Chart of Accounts name and Budget Category ID)

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration workcenter.
2. Open Overview view.
3. Search for Budget Queries Activity.
4. Click on Edit G/L account groups for reporting.
5. On G/L Account Group GHI, click on Add Row. (GHI stands for the G/L Account Group ID)
6. Select Chart of Accounts XYZ and select G/L Account ABC.
7. Click on Save.

Error is raised.

It is not allowed to have the same G/L Account maintained for more than one Budget Category in the Budget Queries activity.

System behaves as designed.
