3402707 - Errors 42350 and 42208 when executing a view from Datasphere in SAC Add-in

Symptom

The error below occurs in SAC Excel Add-in for Office when trying to consume an Analytic Model with Hierarchy as Directory, directly connected to Datasphere:

Error: Error [Server]: (#42350) Can not read view due to missing required capabilities : The view XYZ requires following capabilities: InAModelExternalDimension, MetadataHasExternalHierarchies
Error [Server]: (#42208) Can't read the view : XYZ::[INAMODEL], reason: : Missing required capabilties!

SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office

Cause

This is a known error and the root cause was already identified.

Resolution

The correction has been shipped with the Application version 2024.2.184 of the SAC Excel Add-in.
