3403294 - A SAP HANA Database manual delta merge is failing with [259]: invalid table name: could not execute MERGE DELTA OF

Symptom

You are asked to execute a manual delta merge for a SAP HANA database table with the SQL command MERGE DELTA OF "<tablename>" WITH PARAMETERS ('FORCED_MERGE' = 'ON'); but it fails with the error:

'Could not execute MERGE DELTA OF "<tablename>" WITH PARAMETERS ('FORCED_MERGE' = 'ON');'

[259]: invalid table name: could not execute MERGE DELTA OF <tablename>
