3403760 - Table sorting options greyed out in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Unable to sort columns on a Table.
• Table sorting options: "A-Z", "Z-A", and "Add Custom Order..." of dimensions are greyed out, and cannot be selected/enabled, on a Table in SAP Analytics Cloud.
• When mouse over the greyed out sorting area, there is a warning "Value sorting can't be performed because there is no account dimension on either axes"
• ACCOUNT dimension is already added in Filters with members selected.
• When ACCOUNT dimension is added in axes, other dimensions in the table are successfully show Sorting menu.

SAP Analytics Cloud 2023.21

1. Create a Table in a Story in SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. ACCOUNT dimension is added in row by default. Remove it from row. It will be added in Filters(with the default member selected) 
3. Add a generic Dimensions and Measures to the Table.  
4. Try sorting a column.
5. Notice sorting options are greyed out and cannot be selected. There is a warning "Value sorting can't be performed because there is no account dimension on either axes"
6. Add ACCOUNT dimension in the table. The sorting of a generic dimension is now activated. 

• This is the correct behavior for New Models.
• Ranking and sorting when the account was off the axes (e.g. in filter) led to discrepancies in the UI. Therefore the behavior was corrected. It had never been designed to perform accurately if the account was not in any axis. 

• Place ACCOUNT dimension in axis to resolve the issue.
