Symptom

  • While performing an upgrade of an ABAP system using the Software Update Manager (SUM),
    an error occurs at the very fisrt phase Get roadmap:

EXECUTING /usr/sap/SID/SUM/abap/bin/SAPup rootdir=/usr/sap/SID/SUM/abap rootdir=/usr/sap/SID/SUM/abap socket=_lmsl_sumabap_internal_SID
Worker SAPup exits with exception: Invalid DB archive strategy '#'!
