3404951 - I9 Section 2 not assigned to anyone for New Hire

• I9 Section 2 is not assigned to responsible group even when the business rule to assign responsible group is in place.
• I9 section 2 is assigned to incorrect responsible group/HM.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Cause1:

The responsible group assigned to I9 section 2 does not have any users maintained.

Cause 2: 

The business rule configured does not match any of the If conditions and by default is assigned to HM. 

1. Please make sure users are maintained in the responsible group. 
2. Go to Onboarding general settings -> Search for the responsible group that should have been assigned as per the business rule but it did not. 
3. Click on edit and make sure one of these fields are maintained with value: users, roles or Dynamic group.

To fix the issue for the affected candidate, follow below steps: 

1. Complete the I9 section 2, this will trigger I9 E-Signature
2. Decline I9 E-Signature so that the I9 section 2 is retriggered again. 
3. Once this is re triggered the I9 section 2 will be assigned to the right group/user.
