To control user access to price elements in specific SD documents and know how to configure Role-Based Access to Price and Cost Details in Pricing and Sales within SAP S/4HANA Cloud

While price management functionalities calculate prices across the sales process from quotation to billing, some scenarios require restricting access to sensitive information, such as hiding profit margins from logistics users or allowing only sales managers to view or edit discounts and surcharges. To enable this, you can configure Role-Based Access to Price Elements as described below:

1. Define Access Levels for Price Elements: 
   • In the Define Access Levels for Price Elements(105412) configuration activity, the configuration expert defines the access levels that represent different sensitivity levels of price elements.
     Example:

     Access Level	Description

     1000	Level 1 – Low Sensitivity

     8000	Level 8 – High Sensitivity

2. In the Maintain Business Roles app, the administrator sets up restricted roles for different types of business users. For each role:
   • Choose Application = V
   • Choose the corresponding SAP Object Type
   • Maintain the following values for restriction field Access Level for Price Elements (PRCG_ACC).
3.  Assign Access Levels in Pricing Procedure:
   • In the Set Pricing Procedures (101118) configuration activity, assign the defined Access Levels to the relevant condition types or subtotal lines in the pricing procedure.
