Prerequisites and notes for enabling the Unified Data Model: 

• UDM requires both Bizx and RMK instances to be geographically located closely together. If this is not the case, then the feature switch will be disabled in CSB.Distance between instances may impair performance and user experience so the guardrail is in place to ensure optimum performance. Customers who do not have co-located instances and want to avail UDM should discuss their options with their account team.
• The environment (preview or production) should not affect the UDM slider, only the location.
• The integration with the BIZX tenant must be configured (Under Site Configuration/ Site integration) or the UDM switch will be greyed out regardless of the tenants location.

NOTE for NS2 customers: SAP Operations and Engineering made the determination that NS2 customers would experience greater than acceptable latency between RCM and RMK instances and as a result, the Unified Data Model is not a supported functionality at this time. 
Note there is a project underway which should allow RMK to be deployed in the NS2 Commercial boundary, which will allow these customers to use UDM. 
This KBA will be updated when further information becomes available as to the timeline for delivery.
