3405553 - Candidates Manager is not displayed in New Hire Data Review when onboarding is initiated from RCM after 2H 2023 Release - Onboarding

When candidates onboarding process is initiated from RCM, the supervisor field displays "NO MANAGER" when candidate is initiated from RCM. This is not replicable for candidates initiated from Manual Onboarding unless the Position is added by clicking on "Provide Additional Data" in the Add New Hire to Onboarding Page.

1. Initiate onboarding from RCM
2. Check for the candidates NHDR (New Hire Data Review)
3. Notice that the Supervisor field shows “NO MANAGER” despite the candidates manager passed from RCM

• The position added in Recruiting is not associated with any parent position
• The manager is not derived from the position

Notable Pointers:

• Candidates are impacted only when initiated from RCM, not manually.
• System will allow the candidates to submit NHDR (New Hire Data Review) without Manager
  [NOTE: Before completion of NHDR (New Hire Data Review). ONB2Process and User_SysInfo Table is updated with the correct manager, only NHDR does not display the manager name]
• Once the NHDR (New Hire Data Review) is submitted, further Onboarding steps are blocked since ONB2Process updates manager as NO Manager

Permanent Fix:

• Kindly ensure that the position added has a parent position
• The manager should be derived from the position object

Workaround: 

1. Scenario: NHDR (New Hire Data Review) is successfully triggered and we observe that the Supervisor is set as "NO MANAGER"

1. During the NHDR Step (New Hire Data Review), under Job Information, we observe that Manager field is set as "NO Manager"
2. Manually change the Manager field from "NO Manager" to a valid manager.
   (or)
   Remove the existing position and add a new position
3. Submit NHDR 

2. Scenario: If candidates NHDR (New Hire Data Review) is completed without checking the supervisor field and accidentally submitted as "NO MANAGER"

• If NHDR (New Hire Data Review), is completed without maintaining a valid manager, you will observe that the candidates Personal Data Collection is not triggered and Welcome Email is not sent to the candidate.
• Please perform the below steps: 

1. 1. Go to the onboarding Dashboard > Find the candidate and copy the Process Id from the Dashboard. The ID can be found at the end of the URL. 
   2. Go to Manage Data > Process > Find the Process Id copied in the previous step. Observe that Manager field is set to "NO_MANAGER"
      
   3. Click on Take Action > Make Correction
   4. Update the Manager to a Valid Manager and click on Save
      
      
      
   5. Go to BPE: Monitor Processes > Click on Filter > Under "Variable" , enter the following "onboardingProcessId=*enterProcessId*" and click on Apply
      
      
      
   6. You will notice unfinished status in BPE : Monitor Processes with an error in the Jobs section
      
      
      
   7. Copy the Process Instance Id of the unfinished job which has the error associated
      
      
      
   8. Go to BPE : Manage Process Task > Click on Filter > Process Instance Id > Copy the Id from #7 > Click on Apply
      
      
      
      
   9. Select the process instance id and click on Restart Task
      
   10. Check the onboarding dashboard, you will see the next steps triggered successfully.
