Query on under which condition comment box will appear on the approval request page within Course Home Experience?

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

Navigate to the Course Home Experience in SAP SuccessFactors Learning.
Initiate an approval request.

Cause

The display of the comment box on the approval request page is dependent on the type of approval request and the status of the approver.

Resolution

  • For E-signature and Online Item approval requests, the comment box will always be displayed.
  • For Class registration approval requests, the display of the comment box varies:
    1. If the approver is available and the class has a charge (Purchasing Option is not 'No Charge'), the comment box will be displayed.
    2. If the approver is missing, the user will need to select an approver. In this case, the comment box will be displayed regardless of whether the class is charged or free.
