3406398 - Unable to add a section in the UI Adaptation mode

You are not able to add a new blank section in Adapt UI of an application.

OR

You are not able to add a new section in the Adapt UI of an application because the "Add: Section" button is greyed out.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Start the application
2. Click on "Adapt UI"
3. Click on the tab where you want to add the section

In UI Adaptation there are only two ways to add new sections to the layout: adding predefined Sections that are available depending on the application or using the action 'Embed Content: as Section' (this can be used to embed other websites into a section). 

If the "Add: Section" button is greyed out, this means that there are no predefined sections for this application.

Also, it is currently not possible to add a blank section and then filling it with content like Custom Fields.

 

You can participate in the SAP Customer Influence initiative. There, you can submit improvement requests, explore existing ones, and vote on them. SAP will consider the most voted suggestions to be implemented in future releases.
