3406989 - "There was an application error" in custom tasks - Onboarding

When Hiring Manager or responsible user is trying to complete a custom task error appears: "There was an application error."

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Access task on Home Page
2. Complete the necessary fields
3. Click Submit, Error will appear.

MDF Object is incorrectly configured.

We suggest you to review your created MDF Object, for the affected task, with your Implementation Partner, if you are not able to identify the issue by your side.

Most common issues related to custom tasks are:

• Subject User Field is not selected as externalCode.
• Effective Dating should be: None.
• externalCode should be "User".
• externalName should be deleted.
