3407076 - Balance Sheet and Inc. Statement - China Report unable to compare Periods in same Year

You are trying to complete a Balance Sheet and Inc. Statement - China report and compare periods in the same year, however you receive the error "Comparison year must be earlier than current year".

Remark: this KBA is also valid for statutory report Balance Sheet and Income Statement.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Select the view Statutory Reports.
3. Select the report Balance Sheet and Inc. Statement - China. 
4. Enter Year as YYYY.
5. Enter same year in the Comparison Year field.
6. Error appears:

"Comparison year must be earlier than current year".

Completing a comparison in the same year can only be completed if Company is Chinese.

As per the current system behaviour, the report "Balance Sheet and Inc. Statement - China" is specifically developed for China.

If your Company/Region of Registration is China, the report can be used to compare different periods of same year.

If your Company/Region of Registration is any other country, the report cannot be used to compare different periods of same year and error "Comparison year must be earlier than current year" will be raised.
