3407484 - MDR Instances can't be deleted

Symptom

It is not possible to delete Run IDs (jobs) of a custom mass data run since the delete button is grayed out.

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud For Customer 
  • SAP Cloud Applications Studio

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Custom Mass Data Run work center view.
  2. Select an existing Run ID.
  3. Note that the Delete button is greyed out or disabled. 

Cause

This is the expected system behavior.

The delete button of an MDR instance is enabled when the selected MDR is Obsolete (or In Preparation) and it was never executed.

Resolution

If the Obsolete (or In preparation) Mass Data Runs in question have already been executed, it's correct for the button to be disabled.
