3407659 - How to reset the Title and Subtitle of a Chart back to 'default' in Optimized Design Mode in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

In ODE (Optimized Design Experience), as in CDE (Classic Design Experience), it may be necessary for a user to 'reset' the Title and Subtitle of a Chart back to default.

When the Title and Subtitle are in default state, then:
• The Title/Subtitle text is 'auto generated' by the chart
• The Subtitle can automatically show/hide in the chart based on whether there are units/scales/currency

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2024.01

If a Story Designer has modified the text and/or show/hide setting of the Title/Subtitle, it can be reset to default by using the following steps:

1. Open the story in Edit mode.
2. Click on the Title/Subtitle of the Chart that you wish to reset, then click into text and select and remove all text
3. Click away to set the change in the Chart
4. The Title/Subtitle text should now be updated
   • If the Chart contains no units/scales/currency the Subtitle will now also automatically hide, or hide the next time it is changed to such a state.
5. Re-save the story
