3407808 - How to schedule one import job on the last day of month(s) in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • In SAP Analytics Cloud, you can schedule a data import job if you want to refresh data against the original data source (See SAC Help)
  • You can define the Frequency to Repeating with Recurrence as:
    • Hourly
    • Daily
    • Weekly
    • Monthly
  • How to schedule one import job on the last day of month(s) ？

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud, Enterprise Edition 2023.21.8

Resolution

  1. Log on to SAC tenant.
  2. Find one import job to import data to either model or public dimension.
  3. Open Schedule Settings and then select Frequency as Repeating.
  4. Change Recurrence to Monthly.
  5. Set Start Date to the last day of month(s) having 31 days (i.e., Jan 31).
    • In this case, the job will be executed on last day of all months, including Feb 28 (29 for leap year), Apr 30.
    • If Start Date is set to the last day of month(s) having less than 31 days, like Feb 28, the job will be always executed in 28th day of each month.
  6. Change number (default value: 1) between Every Months(s) if you want to make it recur every 2 or more months, like {Jan, Mar, May,...}.
