3408000 - Error AA377 Posting not possible in company code & owing to legacy data transfer

Symptom

While posting to an Asset the following error is raised:

Posting not possible in company code & owing to legacy data transfer

Message no. AA377

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

The error may be caused by incomplete settings for the company code when productive already.

Resolution

  1. Enter App Make Company Code settings and select the company code displayed in the error message.
  2. Go to tab 'Legacy Data transfer'
  3. Either change the status to 'Ongoing (other postings allowed)' or Complete the transfer segment. See steps in KBA 2891851.
