3408754 - Exchange Rate (currency conversion) Determination in SAP TM with enhancement possibilities

This KBA explains current behaviour of the exchange rate determination (currency conversion) in SAP TM on SAP S/4Hana. 

As per current behaviour in SAP TM is concerned, the software always call the method CONVERT_TO_FOREIGN_CURRENCY for exchange rate conversion in method /SCMTMS/CL_TCC_CURRENCY_UTILS -CONVERT_CURRENCY. THis means, the local currency to document currency or rate currency to document currency works fine. However, in case of document currency to local currency, the behaviour is different. Let’s say TM is converting from USD (document) to INR (local) currency. The expectation is that entry 3 should get selected, but entry 2 gets selected.
